My Motto is "Keep Moving".  I hope to inspire the community to 'stay active and move'. In my classes, our favorite musician, Pitbull (Mr. Worldwide), often sings in Spanish and his signature word is "Dale".  In English it means, 'let's go, let's move, let's do it'! My Students participated in a contest to name her and the winner was "Dale". We all agree, it's perfect !

Jewels and Jewel tones were the inspiration for Young's Creative Jewelry Heron.   Starting with rich, metallic gem tones of emeralds, sapphires, and amethysts, her gold tone wings serve as the backdrop for faceted diamond shapes that mirror the Sponsor's logo.  It was exciting and extremely satisfying to see her come together in all of her jeweled glory!

Our Sea Turtles on land and sea face threats around the world including loss and degradation of nesting and foraging habitats due to coastal development, pollution, and climate change.  Turtles are killed and eggs collected for consumption.  Hundreds of thousands of sea turtles a year are accidentally caught in shrimp trawl nets, on longline hooks and in fishing gill-nets. Unaable to reach the surface to breathe,  many drown.  Only 1 turtle out of 1000 survive hatching

They are an endangered species!

Feathers and Flippers

In Record time we had Sponsors and Artists sign up for our "Feathers and Flippers" Display on Dearborn.

This replaced the former "Artscape Sculpture Garden" on Green Street.

#20 Coastal Wildlife Educational Garden

QR Codes help you follow Mother Turtle from Building her Nest to her Hatchlings heading for the Gulf.
